09 05 2010DarkĀ blue turns lighter, ghostly imprints left behind. Normally, I would rinse my batched fabric more to be sure any remaining ink does not transfer to other areas of the fabric. This time however, I just let it go, making ghost prints by chance on the fabric, adding another layer of color that wasn't there before, some more texture. Overall of the pine tree print piece:

Add your comment09 03 2010The threat of a hurricane and a blanket of humidity! What could be better conditions for stamping fabric with thickened screen printing inks? These WIP's have been plastered to my design wall in my studio for at least 2 months now, since the last time I did some work on them. In that time, I was unsure where I wanted to go next with them, so I've been letting them stare me in the face every day as I went down and worked on something small, something I could finish in 30 minutes or so. Here are 2 WIP's, which may end up being put together at some point down the road. The first: A continuation of the orange and blue rusted pieces from a few months ago: Here's an overall:
